Bonus Submission Time!!
I tried. I really did. I went to their Myspace page and gave two listens to each of the five songs they have posted. But the first song I heard, “Danse”, ends with the most blatant Thom Yorke aping I have ever heard. And the next song had a drum solo. In combination with the repeated emails they sent me last month, that’s about as bad an impression as a band can make.
It wasn’t horrible. At best, though, it was just fairly innocuous. But with atmosphere. Boy, they sure like that atmosphere.
I hope this doesn’t upset you. As I mentioned to you both, your comments and readership are very much appreciated. This is just my honest opinion, which happens to differ from yours. To give anything other than my honest opinion would negate any reasoning for me to maintain this blog.
And since this is merely the opinion of one lowly blogger, I shall give the band two benefits:
1) I won’t mention their name here, so that this negative review won’t show up if a curious fan-to-be were to do a Google search on them.
2) I will no longer link their name to a picture of a dog taking a shit if I happen to mention them again in future posts.
It’s the least I can do.
