Carl Responds To Tyge’s Post
(I’m responding to this, by the way.)
Some things:
1) Sufjan Stevens. Sufjan Stevens!!!The Messiah of the indie world (for the record, my indie world is an agnostic one). The center within the Brooklyn circle jerk. Pretty obscure choice there, Tyge.
2) I believe that Darrin is taking a picture on his phone and not texting. This belief is formed by the fact that I actually have the picture that he was sending at the time. A quick scan through the comments in my Myspace page yielded this:
Since he’s now the drummer, instances of lolligagging during a show have been greatly reduced.
3) I couldn’t be more grateful that the Imeem player only has 30-second clips of my 2 songs. The same fate appears to have befallen the Bambi Lee Savage song, which is a shame as her 30-second snippet was quite good.
4) The only song that makes me smile is ‘End Of The Innocence’ by Don Henley. I have my reasons. Oh, and of course:
Ren And Stimpy – Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy
Cracks me up every time.

I'm still unsure how some songs get posted with 30 second clips but near the upper right corner of the player is the 30 second enabler/disabler button. It was obviously on or off when you were listening.
My musical exposure has been somewhat sheltered from living in Las Vegas (lame excuse, I know) but I am trying to play catch-up. I have yet to meet anyone out here who's even heard of Sufjan… or The Beatles for that matter. Some things about Vegas really suck.
