I Was Trying To Go At Least Two Weeks Without Posting A YouTube Clip, But . . .

How could I not when it involves a friend of mine (and me)?

My friend and collaborator, Casey (I just cut-and-pasted that from yesterday’s post), finished this video the other day. It’s the third clip from our experimental/spoken word project, The March Of The Tongue Brigade. As mentioned yesterday, Casey lives in the kingdom of Hawai’i (hakuna matata!). The video features random shots of its main village, Honolulu, interspersed with clips of Casey at a recent book signing (BUY HIS BOOK!!!).

Yes, it’s nine minutes long. But the visuals are nice (especially towards the end), the poem that Casey reads is terrific, and the music that I made for the piece ended up being far better than I expected (for one brief moment, I forgot that I’m a shitty guitar player). And, Christ, it’s not like you’re doing anything better with your day. Seriously, put some damn pants on!

More – oh, so much more – can be witnessed at the JUBANO! Myspace page. If you’re a good person, then you’ll purchase a copy of our CD over at CD Baby (why not two?). If you’re an even gooder person, you’ll go here and buy Casey’s book (why not twelve?).
