It’s Friday!

subtle!
This week was awesome. It’s truly been the most fun I’ve had since the blog got started. Let’s see how we got here:
- We got sexy. Our pal Jason presented us with a wonderful soundtrack for the bedroom (seriously, it’s great – go download it now). Then I probably gave away too much information by recounting the sexual experiences that I shared with The Magnetic Fields and The Antlers. Wait . . . that came out wrong.
- Tyge sent me an email asking me about posting stuff on the weekend. I told him that no one reads music blogs on the weekend, so it’s a waste of time. Then, on a whim, I decided to write something on the weekend. It turned into our most-read post ever. Lesson learned.
- I FINALLY pissed someone off! I can’t believe it took this long for someone to call one of my posts ‘retarded’. Thank you, good sir – thank you.
- Tyge: Hey Carl, you know what would be a good topic for a post?
Carl: What?
Tyge: Slavery.
Carl: . . .
- My roommate demanded that you listen to Wave Pictures. Don’t piss him off.
- Ben reminded us about the awesomeness of the first New Pornographers album. He also reminded us that drinking is fun, although I definitely didn’t need to be reminded of that.
- Holy shit, Tyge used to live near Townes Van Zandt! I’m all in favor of fictionalizing this story a little bit so that it ends up with young Tyge hanging out with Townes at his cabin. Townes teaches Tyge how to play guitar, which vodka is best, and how to find the plumpest vein. Tyge, in turn, teaches Townes the true meaning of friendship. And then he dies (Townes, not Tyge). THIS IS OSCAR-BAIT, PEOPLE!! – someone needs to start writing this.
- And there were random songs, acoustic Camera Obscura, and the welcome return of Jenny. Sigh – oh Jenny. All in all, a pretty damn strong week. What do you think? Yes? No? (Hint: the answer is ‘Yes’).
You look beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend.

You forgot to mention this was the first full week as TheOpeningActs.com! From what I know, dot-coms are like name brand products, and hence, more people buy them.
