The Dears’ Murray Lightburn is the only person I’ve ever seen play a keytar without looking like a total fucking idiot. For that, I will always appreciate him (ALWAYS!).
There’s no keytar-playing in this video, although it does make an appearance in the background. For the first 10 minutes or so, it’s just Lightburn singing “Saviour” the final track from last year’s Missiles. It’s very simple but still quite striking. The remaining 5 minutes bring in the rest of the band for a run through of album-opener “Disclaimer”. It’s two videos for the price of one. What a deal!
This debuted yesterday on the new Canadian music channel, Aux. You can watch much more Canadian goodness over at their site.
Did any astute Canadians catch the pun in that last sentence? Anyone? Hello?
