October is Spooky – Be Who You’re Not!
Especially if you’re becoming a man, when you face the common uncertainty that most thirteen year old kids face; October can be pretty scary. So a mere 3 1/2 half weeks ahead of time, let’s gear up for Halloween with “Werewolf Bar Mitzvah” by Tracy Morgan

Also, the reason I have been fairly missing from the blog here lately has been because most of my creative forces have been spent with school work, unfortunately. I have had to dazzle a class full of people with my speech. I know it sounds stupid, but I made it a performance – to really entertain a crowd of kids fresh out of high school and get some laughs, I had to play it up and be a character that I’m really not.
And October is the month for pretending that you’re someone or something you’re not. So speaking of someone being a character that they are really not, this is a prank phone call where Jon Wurster (who has drummed for Superchunk, Mountain Goats, The New Pornographers, and even Charlie Daniels) pretends to be Kenny Dupree and – during the Dixie Chick fiasco – tried to promote his war-time anthem “Freedom Bombs”.
