Your Weekend Holiday – World Hello Day

Hello people of the Earth, I have big ears and can hear you.

Hello people of the Earth, I have big ears and can hear you.

Today, November 21st, 2009, is a holiday for everyone because it’s the 37th annual World Hello Day.

Really, click on the link and read it’s history. Today is suppose to bring peace, love, and understanding into this world, just by saying (to ten strangers) the word “Hello.”

“Hello.”

It’s just one simple word.

The Mekons – Hello Cruel World

Because I’m a bellman and work in a Las Vegas hotel, I’m required to say “Hello” to every stranger within five-feet of me. Every day I exceed the “World Hello Day” quota within my first hour of work. Once you start saying “hello” to people on a regular basis, you’ll be addicted and amused by the different reactions.

A while back, I saw a very angry man stomp out of his hotel room, slamming the door shut. As I passed him in the hallway, I said, “Hello.”

He replied with utter animosity, “You’re probably the guy fucking my wife!”

I replied with, “Yes sir, I am!”

Ya know, because the customer is always right.
